Perth Hills

Although Perth is well known for having the best beaches in the world, it also offers a charming country experience within an hour east of the CBD. Rolling hills and valleys, stunning scenery, wildflowers, walk trails, fresh produce and the State’s oldest pubs, a visit east is a must do while here in Western Australia. We have a guide to all of the best things to do in the Hills East of Perth.

If you enjoy bush walking, the Perth Hills has eight National Parks boasting six of the State’s Top Trails (walk and cycle), with many well marked trails including the international acclaimed Bibbulmun Track and Munda Biddi off road cycle trail. You’ll find scenic look outs, tranquil picnic spots, waterfalls and an oasis of natural bush and wildlife. The small country towns of Mundaring and Kalamunda have a rustic, country feel offering locally made arts and crafts, fresh produce, markets, great coffee, galleries and old country pubs. Throughout the region there are numerous restaurants, cafes and pubs offering first class dining experiences. See below for a selection of things to do in the Perth Hills and all of the attractions and activities east of Perth.
