Perth Cultural Centre

The Perth Cultural Centre (PCC) positioned between Perth’s central city and inner-city districts, is a vibrant, inclusive and attractive drawcard for Perth residents and visitors alike, where the arts, culture, knowledge, events and community come together. With excellent transport and pedestrian linkages between the central city, Perth Train Station and Northbridge, the PCC is home to many of Western Australia’s principal cultural and learning institutions. These include the Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Western Australian Museum, the State Library of Western Australia and State Records Office, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Blue Room Theatre, State Theatre Centre and the North Metropolitan TAFE.

Art Gallery of WA – Through collections, programs, and stimulating exhibitions the Art Gallery of WA inspires and offers visitors unique and exciting encounters with the art of Western Australia, Australian Indigenous art and the art of the world.

Western Australian Museum – Reopening in 2020 with significantly increased space for exhibitions, touring, interactive and experiential spaces, investigation and preservation work. When the Western Australian Museum reopens is will it will share the stories of WA’s peoples and places and will act as a gateway to exploring the state.

Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) – Housed in a large and striking heritage building in the heart of Perth, Western Australia, PICA is the city’s focal point for those wishing to experience the best of Australian and international visual, performing and cross-disciplinary art. PICA presents around 120 programs annually including exhibitions, dance, theatre and interdisciplinary projects

State Theatre Centre of WA – State Theatre Centre presents contemporary performing arts, such as theatre and dance, in diverse ways with a focus on distinctive professional and contemporary work produced locally, nationally and internationally. It is also home to the world recognised Heath Ledger Theatre.

State Library of WA – With access to resources for information, learning, and recreation available in person or online, the State Library is your go to place for information about Western Australia. Wander through an exhibition, read a book or enjoy a film – there’s something for everyone.

The Blue Room – The Blue Room fosters creative talent and give independent theatre makers the tools to present their work. Providing a dynamic and ever-changing line-up of contemporary live performance, advocacy and unique experiences for their audiences.
