Old Courthouse
Built in 1899 and nestled in the heart of the ‘Convict Corner’ between Fremantle Prison and Fremantle Markets, the lovingly restored and family-friendly Old Courthouse was originally built to serve justice to the Fremantle and surrounding community until its closure in 2001.
Enjoy a drink in the original courtroom and learn about the infamous characters that passed through the court or enjoy some West Aussie produce in the stunning glass pavilion. The pavilion with its wide veranda overlooks the garden, shaded by mature peppermint trees, with plenty of space for the kids to run around on the grass or play in the sandpit. Solo musicians perform in the garden under the trees on Fridays and weekends.
