Millbrook Winery is a multi-award-winning boutique winery and highly acclaimed restaurant located in the picturesque town of Jarrahdale in the Perth Hills. The property also boasts a farm, orchard and heirloom garden nestled among jarrah forests, with stunning vistas of the rolling countryside and estate vineyards.
The modern winery incorporates a tasting room where you can enjoy a glass of wine and a cheese platter on the picturesque balcony overlooking the lake, and a restaurant where you can savour a long lunch of fresh produce from the estate.
The highly-acclaimed Millbrook restaurant is led by Executive Chef Guy Jeffreys and Head Chef Justin Wong. The restaurant was crowned ‘WA Restaurant of the Year 2022’ by Gourmet Traveller and has been awarded Two Chef Hats by the Good Food Guide.
The restaurant’s seasonal, modern Australian menu incorporates more than 100 varieties of heirloom vegetables grown in the Millbrook Garden and picked fresh daily, as well as stone fruit, citrus, figs, apples, herbs, free-range eggs, olives and honey sourced from the estate.
Guy and Justin’s innovative, seasonal menu changes frequently and is a constant reflection of what is fresh, abundant and at its best in the garden. They both strongly believe in the importance of growing your own produce, reducing food waste and cooking with seasonal and local ingredients wherever possible.
The garden is tended to by Gardener Mitchell Seward and the whole kitchen team. Thanks to their dedication and passionate philosophy, the restaurant no longer buys in any fruit or vegetables; everything served is from the estate and carefully matched with locally sourced meat and fish.
The 20-acre vineyard is planted with Viognier, Petit Verdot, Shiraz, Merlot and Grenache with modern and sustainable viticultural practices used. Vines are planted on undulating slopes to optimise drainage and control growth, with the emphasis being on fruit quality, rather than yield. All pruning and picking is undertaken by hand, and the vines are irrigated only when required to ensure that fruit achieves optimal ripeness and flavour development.
