With limited-edition, bold prints that celebrate Aussie beach life, these boardshorts (made from recycled plastic bottles), hats, swimsuits, resort wear, t-shirts and Turkish Towels with Pockets (so you can stash your stuff while you swim) are must-have souvenirs. South Beach Boardies South Fremantle store also stocks a range of other local and sustainable brands, including jewellery, skincare, toys, books, footwear and gifts.

South Beach Boardies was created in 2018 by mother-of-four Kirsten, when she couldn’t find find well-made women’s board shorts in fun prints or flattering styles, and was determined to clad her beach-loving boys in clothing that helps the planet instead of hindering it. She opened the first South Beach Boardies store in 2019, and the brand has been a staple of the Fremantle retail scene ever since, with stores in South Fremantle and Singapore, as well as popping up at various markets around the state of Western Australia. It’s very much a family affair, with partner Tim, and kids Miles, Coen, Ned and Saul all pitching in.
