The York Festival returns from 16 – 18 October, filling the historic Wheatbelt town with three days of live music, creative workshops, family activities and community events.

At the heart of this year’s program is TWANG! – York’s Guitar Weekend, featuring some of Australia’s leading musicians including blues legend Dave Hole, two-time Grammy Award winner Lucky Oceans with his New Darling Rangers, and blues-rock guitarist Nathan Cavaleri. Across the weekend, performances will take over York Town Hall, local pubs and cafés, heritage buildings and outdoor spaces, with the TWANG! Sound Trail bringing even more live music around town.

There’s plenty happening beyond the headline shows too, from creative workshops and family activities to guided heritage experiences, live music photography and performances from emerging WAAPA artists. A number of events are completely free, while tickets are available for major performances and selected activities.
