World Ocean Day at Gage Roads Fremantle

World Ocean Day at Gage Roads Fremantle

08/06/2026

A free event bringing the conversation about WA’s oceans to Fremantle.

WA World Ocean Day is happening on Monday 8 June at Gage Roads Freo, bringing together leading scientists, conservationists and storytellers to explore what’s happening beneath our waters – and why it matters. Presented by The Jock Clough Marine Foundation, the evening features two panel discussions covering topics like marine biodiversity, climate change, fishing practices and conservation, all designed to be accessible and relevant to everyday West Australians.

Open to anyone with a connection to the ocean, the event also includes interactive elements like a community mural, stalls from local organisations and the chance to hear directly from experts working on the frontlines. Entry is free (with registration encouraged), making it an easy way to learn more about WA’s marine environment while being part of the conversation.
