The World Masters Athletics Championships will be hosted for the first time in Perth in 2016. The championships will see athletes 35 years and over compete in a range of events on and off the track. Athletes from around the world will make their way to Perth in what will be an incredible display of competition. The event includes various track and field competitions held at the state-of-the-art West Australian Athletics Stadium as well as non-stadium events such as walking and cross country. The marathon will be set against the backdrop of Perth’s iconic Swan River, which provides an ideal location for the long distance events by offering some of the best views and vantage points for spectators.
