WA Festival of Cricket

WA Festival of Cricket

12/12/2017

An iconic event featuring cricket and sporting legends. Since the iconic Lilac Hill Festival Match concluded in 2008, cricket loving West Australian’s have been patiently waiting for a relaxed festival-styled cricket event to take it’s place. The wait was over in December 2013 when the inaugural WA Festival of Cricket (WAFOC) was held at Aquinas College in Perth’s southern suburbs with tremendous success. Since then legendary names such Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Brian Lara, Andrew Flintoff, Herschelle Gibbs, Glenn McGrath & Matthew Hayden have all graced the field. The WA Festival of Cricket philosophy is simple, to provide the Western Australian public and corporate community a sporting experience they’ll never forget—the opportunity to interact with legends of the game in a relaxed and fun environment the traditional format cannot offer. 2017 After a 4th consecutive sell out event in 2016, the WA Festival of Cricket returns bigger and better this summer! Not just a day at the cricket, the vibrant festival atmosphere and majestic setting provide the perfect backdrop for a unique and highly memorable day celebrating our national sport with the West Australian community. The WAFOC will again be played in the exciting Twenty20 format. The new venue will make for some amazing entertainment with plenty of big hitting and of course some classic catches in the crowd!
