A free event on 25 & 26 January, Fremantle Arts Centre brings together a tapestry of stories that speak to the impacts of colonisation and to the resilience and self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with FOCUS – First Nations Film Festival and the wonderful Kiwirrkurra Band take to the stage. Coming down from the Kiwirrkurra Community (in the Pilbara), the band will perform a number of tunes in the western desert reggae rock feel – focussing on spreading a drug-free message, and whole lot of joy, showing the world the strength of their culture.
