Legendary singer-songwriter and Rock goddess Stevie Nicks confirmed that she is heading to our shores this November, bringing her 24 Karat Gold Tour to Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne. The Rollingstone’s Queen of Rock and Roll will also be doing three shows for A Day On The Green with stops in Hunter Valley, Mt. Cotton and Yarra Valley. Stevie is widely known as the former lead vocalist of British-American band, Fleetwood Mac. Her dreamy and mystical songwriting, coupled with her husky yet powerful contralto, contributed so much to the success of the then blues-oriented band in the rock arena. ‘Rhiannon’, ‘Landslide’ and ‘Dreams’ are but few of the huge hits that Stevie wrote and performed with the band. Whilst with the band, she got involved in some solo projects, leading to the release of her solo album titled ‘Bella Donna’ in 1981. The album topped the US Billboard Charts and has been included in the list of Billboard’s Greatest 200 Albums Of All Time. Her 2014 release, 24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault, features new versions of her unreleased songs throughout her 40-year old career. To make the tour even more exciting, English-American rockers Pretenders, fronted by Chrissie Hynde, will join Stevie on stage to play their own set of hits. Melbourne’s Ali Barter will also be in tow as support act.
