RTRFM Fremantle Winter Music Festival
25/06/2016We’re headed to Fremantle once again for our 10th annual celebration of the sounds of the port city on Saturday, June 25. Featuring over 20 acts, FWMF will take over five of Fremantle’s favourite venues – Mojos, North Fremantle Bowls Club, the Railway Hotel, the Swan Lounge and the Swan Basement, running from 7pm ‘til late. At the Swan Lounge, bask in a tuneful array of soulful sounds from the likes of Matt Cal, Michael Savage, Mo Wilson and the Drivers, Simon & Girlfunkle and Stella Donnelly. Step into the Swan Basement for an eclectic offering of brass-heavy, worldly delights courtesy of Barefeet Sojourns, The Brow, Ladywood & POW! Negro. Journey to the North Fremantle Bowls Club for a smorgasbord of country, blues and folk brilliance courtesy of Galloping Foxleys, The Justin Walshe Folk Machine, Los Porcheros, Ralway Bell and Tom Fisher and the Layabouts. Or head to the Railway Hotel where things get raw, weird and loud, with a glorious cacophony of screeching guitars and deep howls from High Horse, moistoyster, Red Engine Caves, Rag n’ Bone and Scalphunter. And at Mojos, immerse yourself in a weird and wonderful array of sounds from the finest electronic experimentalists and beatmakers, with Akioka, Consulate (DJ set), Craig McElhinney, Hugo Gerani and Sacred Flower Union taking you into the wee hours.Fremantle Winter Music Festival 2016 – the biggest local music event in the port city.
