Pack the beach towels and set course for Leighton Beach on 5 December – the finish line for the sixth Red Bull Lighthouse to Leighton kiteboarding race. The Southern Hemisphere’s largest kiteboarding race takes off from Rottnest Island and, in around 25 minutes, 115 kiteboarders will race to Leighton Beach in Fremantle. Competitors will take off from Phillip Point Rottnest mid afternoon once the wind is up, and spectators can watch them race into the finish line at Leighton Beach, chasing the record time of 22 minutes and 7 seconds set by European Champion Olly Bridge from Devon UK in 2014.
