The 2016 Pride Parade takes place on Saturday 19 November starting at 8pm on the corner of William and Brisbane Streets. Running down William Street then along James Street and finishing with an Awards Ceremony at Russell Square at approximately 9:15pm. The Pride Parade is a flagship event for Pride WA and the WA LGBTI community. Each year it includes an array of floats and groups that represent many aspects of the community, including community groups, government departments, businesses, youth groups, educational bodies and individuals. The theme of PrideFEST and the Pride Parade is #lovewins. This stems from the idea that the foundation of LGBTIQ community was built on the concept of love and equality for all. Pride WA also chose this theme as it is a tag that many people easily identify with.
