06/12/2025 - 06/04/2026

AGWA presents Pippin Drysdale: Infinite Terrain, a major retrospective celebrating the remarkable career of internationally acclaimed ceramic artist Pippin Drysdale.

Spanning more than forty years of creative practice, the exhibition brings together works from the State Art Collection and important national and international loans. It offers a rare chance to trace Drysdale’s evolution — her bold sense of adventure, her collaborative approach, and her unique talent for translating the essence of landscapes into porcelain. Through sweeping lines and luminous colour, her vessels evoke terrain both vast and intimate, inviting reflection on memory, place, and imagination.

Based in Fremantle, Western Australia, Drysdale began working with ceramics in the 1980s and continues to create new pieces at 82. Her work is held in major collections around the world, securing her reputation as one of Australia’s most respected ceramic artists.

Driven by curiosity and a lifelong passion for discovery, Drysdale continues to push the boundaries of her craft. Her practice merges technical precision with fearless experimentation, transforming porcelain into vibrant landscapes that reveal the beauty, nuance, and power of colour.
