The Perth Chung Wah Cultural Festival is a showcase of Western Australian Chinese culture and tradition, set in Burswood Park on the banks of the beautiful Swan River from Sunday 12 May to Saturday 18 May 2019. Beginning with a spectacular dragon boat race and finishing with a lotus flower ceremony, the 7-day festival is a great way for everyone to experience ancient Chinese culture. During the festival, Burswood Park will be transformed into a thriving market with activities, performances and food stalls. Children will have the opportunity to learn traditional skills including kite and lantern building. The festival includes the popular annual Golden Koala Film Festival, which will feature Chinese films at the Burswood Outdoor Cinema, with all profits going to Telethon.
