Passing By Project is a free public art exhibition showcasing the work of 16 emerging Western Australian artists aged 14 – 24, on display outside Door 2 at RAC Arena from 27 June to 13 December 2026.

Created in collaboration with SAVA ART and The Salvation Army WA, the exhibition explores themes of connection, hardship and hope, encouraging visitors to pause and reflect on the stories we often overlook in our everyday lives. Through original artworks inspired by the theme Passing By, the young artists share personal perspectives on happiness, challenges and youth culture.

Many of the participating artists have engaged with youth support services through The Salvation Army or The Y HQ, with the project highlighting the important role creativity can play in building confidence, connection and self-expression.

All artworks have been created specifically for the exhibition and are available to purchase through SAVA ART, with proceeds supporting both the participating artists and The Salvation Army Youth Services.

The exhibition is free to view for all RAC Arena ticket holders on event days throughout the exhibition period.
