Brookfield Winter Lights Festival

Brookfield Winter Lights Festival

19/07/2017 - 29/07/2017

The highly anticipated Brookfield Winter Lights Festival is back, and in this its fifth year is bigger than ever. The Festival is a journey of art and light transforming Brookfield Place through spectacular light installations, projections, exhibitions, interactive events and performances by local, national and international artists. Festival highlights include projections on the heritage buildings along St Georges Terrace along with an interactive Mr B, a real time 3D animated character. A stunning light totem with laser cut stencils will illuminate Brookfield walkways, casting literature in light onto the rear of the Heritage building and roving performances, Fliptease and Nightnorms, will weave through the festival precinct adding interest and fun while engaging with crowds. For the first time in WA, Digital Wattle, the award winning mesmerising installations by NZ artist Angus Muir, will feature light trees that interact with people moving past them. While Spectrum, another installation by Angus Muir is a hands-on interactive activation where visitors are encouraged to push illuminated tubes to make them change position and colour. The Brookfield Winter Lights Festival is proud to have the City of Perth onboard as an installation sponsor along with Curtin, PWC, Dimeo and Schindler as our supporting partners. The festival can be experienced from Wednesday 19 July to Saturday 29 July, in the heart of the city at Brookfield Place, one of Australia’s most significant landmark precincts.
