One of the biggest rivalries in world sport is coming to Perth Stadium in August 2019 when Western Australia hosts its first ever Bledisloe Cup.The State Government, through Tourism WA, has secured the match between the Qantas Wallabies and New Zealand’s All Blacks. The Bledisloe Cup has been fiercely contested between these two rugby powerhouses since the 1930s. It will be the only time the All Blacks and the Wallabies play on Australian soil in 2019 in the lead up to the Rugby World Cup. The Bledisloe Cup match has only been played outside Australia or New Zealand on two occasions; 2008 in Hong Kong and 2009 in Japan. It has not been on the market since 2011 due to existing deals between the Australian Rugby Union, NSW Government and the Queensland Government.
