An exhibition inspired by one of the greatest gold discoveries in Western Australia, a 413 oz gold nugget found in Australia’s hottest town, Marble Bar, and nicknamed ‘Bobby Dazzler’.New work by leading Western Australia mid-career artists Thea Costantino, Rebecca Dagnall, and Tarryn Gill, developed through a series of residencies in the Pilbara and Goldfields-Esperance regions between 2015 and 2016, will be showcased at FORM Gallery in Perth before touring to Pilbara and Goldfields-Esperance regions. The exhibition will take Western Australia’s gold-rush past as its point of departure, for a compelling and darkly humorous exploration of the Western Australian regional gothic.
