AGWA Exhibition: No night is long enough for us to dream twice
03/10/2026 - 31/01/2027The Art Gallery of Western Australia presents No night is long enough for us to dream twice, a major exhibition bringing together more than 100 contemporary photographs and video works by artists from South West Asia, North Africa and their diasporas. Spanning artists connected to Algeria, Iran, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Türkiye, the exhibition explores lived experiences across the region through themes of love, friendship, family, identity, pleasure, displacement, political repression and inherited histories.
Opening at AGWA this October, the exhibition marks the Perth debut of every participating artist, with six presenting work in Australia for the first time. It is presented by AGWA’s Simon Lee Foundation Institute of Contemporary Asian Art and curated by Dalia Al-Dujaili and Rachel Cieśla.
