The Shoalwater Islands Marine Park
The Shoalwater Islands Marine Park is located 50 kilometres south of Perth, adjacent to the City of Rockingham and covers an area of approximately 6658 hectares. The marine park contains a rich diversity and abundance of both marine and terrestrial wildlife, such as seabirds, sea lions (one of the rarest species in the world), dolphins and the Little Penguins who breed on Penguin Island. There are roughly 260 bottlenose dolphins that reside in the park. The cavernous reefs surrounding the islands provide good snorkelling and diving, or you can kayak, swim or relax on the white sandy beRaches.
