Ever wondered what it would be like to travel through space? A spectacular new virtual reality experience is landing in Perth this November!

Opening on 26 November 2026, Smithsonian Starstruck: An Immersive Experience invites visitors to journey through distant galaxies, witness exploding stars and explore the supermassive black hole at the centre of the Milky Way, all without leaving Earth!

Developed in collaboration with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, this 40-minute experience combines virtual reality technology with real astronomical data. Wearing wireless headsets, visitors can explore incredible 3D environments, discover the famous Pillars of Creation and learn how stars are born and die.

Following presentations in cities including London and Washington, DC, Starstruck is making its WA debut at Northbridge Centre. Recommended for ages 10 and up, it’s an exciting experience for families, space enthusiasts and curious minds alike!
