Variety WA is launching Light Up WA, a new statewide event that will see some of Western Australia’s most recognisable landmarks illuminated red in support of children living with disability, chronic illness and disadvantage.

On Friday 23 October, landmarks including the Bell Tower, Council House, Elizabeth Quay, Fremantle Prison, Kings Park, Matagarup Bridge, Optus Stadium and Yagan Square will light up red, alongside locations across regional WA. The community can also take part in the Light Up WA Challenge, travelling between participating landmarks and using the event app to unlock interactive displays, stories, clues and prizes along the way.
