2026 NAIDOC Week: 50 Years of Deadly
05/07/2026 - 12/07/2026Celebrate NAIDOC Week at Karrinyup with a special pop-up showcase featuring six Western Australian First Nations-owned businesses from 5 – 12 July. Marking this year’s theme, “50 Years of Deadly”, the free event brings together Indigenous-owned fashion, homewares, body care, accessories and lifestyle brands, giving visitors the chance to shop unique products while learning about the stories, culture and artistry behind each business.
Alongside the retail showcase, visitors can also view large-scale projections of works by celebrated Wadjuk artist Joan Margaret Martin (nee Lewis) displayed on Karrinyup’s West Deck façade, honouring her legacy and connection to Country. The centre is also home to a permanent artwork by her grandson, acclaimed Wadjuk artist Justin Martin, created as part of Karrinyup’s redevelopment.
The pop-up stores will be located throughout the centre, with free entry for all visitors throughout NAIDOC Week.
