As the longest night approaches, Melville Midwinter invites the community to gather by the shores of Dyoondalup Point Walter for a magical evening celebrating the Noongar season of Makuru. 

This free, family-friendly event transforms the foreshore into an immersive, fire-lit experience, blending music, dance, poetry and performance beneath the winter sky. 

Wander through a curated trail of intimate performances from acclaimed WA artists including Peter Bibby, Carla Geneve, Nelson Mondlane, Emily Barker and Ben Witt, before returning to the foreshore for a spectacular finale. 

Arrive early to purchase a mug of hearty soup, and enjoy free hot drinks, with roving performances setting the scene from sunset. 

Warm up by crackling fires, explore the unexpected and embrace the beauty of winter with a unique night of art, culture and connection.
