This April, The Perth Mint is inviting families to explore Western Australia’s unique stories through coins, creativity, and hands‑on fun. From interactive displays to kids’ coin designs, there’s something for every young explorer. 

Explore the free Forecourt exhibition, celebrating the wonder of WA by featuring coin designs showcasing iconic Western Australian stories. Visitors can collect a Minting Memories passport on arrival and stamp their way through the display on a fun, educational trail for all ages.

While visiting, young creatives can be inspired with The Perth Mint’s Become a coin designer workshop, themed around Western Australia. Participants will design their own WA‑inspired coin and learn how ideas are transformed into real minting designs. Suitable for ages 6 and above.

The Boorloo Heritage festival starts on 1 April and runs until 30 April. The temporary Minted Memories exhibition is free to explore.

Sessions to Become a coin designer run at 9.45am and 1.45pm every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 April until 16 April 2026, bookings are essential.
