I AM: Aboriginal Art Collection is a powerful exhibition drawn from the State Art Collection, showcasing works by Aboriginal artists from across Western Australia.

Spanning painting, sculpture, textiles and mixed media, the exhibition explores identity, Country, culture and lived experience through a wide range of artistic voices. Together, the works reflect both enduring traditions and contemporary perspectives, highlighting the strength, diversity and depth of Aboriginal art practices in WA.

Presented at the Art Gallery of Western Australia, I AM offers visitors the opportunity to engage with stories that are personal, political and deeply connected to place. It’s an important and considered exhibition that invites reflection, learning and connection.
