01/03/2020 - 01/03/2020 Highway to Hell – AC/DC Live in Paris 1979 (FREE)
Celebrating Bon Scott and his connection to Fremantle. ‘Highway To Hell’ was filmed on 9 December 1979 at the Pavillon de Paris in Paris, France during the AC/DC Highway to Hell World Tour. “Let There be Rock live in Paris 1979” captures AC/DC about to explode in one of the best concert movies ever! The band was on the precipice, about to take the world by storm. Two months after its filming, firebrand frontman Bon Scott was deceased. Shot by unknown filmmakers on a bare set, live in Paris captures AC/DC at the peak of their powers. A menacing Bon Scott, a demonic Angus Young and the driving balls to the wall rhythm section of Malcolm Young, Phill Rudd and Chris Williams. This shows exactly why AC/DC is so great! This is as good as it gets! After seeing this film in 1980, Dave Grohl (Nirvana and Foo Fighters) declared he was going home “not to play my guitar but to burn it!” This event is a free event and commences 7pm at the Bon Scott Statue in the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour.
